Your Questions About Survival Food Supplies

Susan asks…
Is stocking up survival supplies for December 21, 2012 nuts?
My husband is stocking up supplies (food, medical supplies, water purifiers, kerosene and heaters, almost everything). December 21, 2012 is the day he turns 60. I think he’s loosing it. What do you think?

Answer Man answers:
Not entirely nuts. It never hurts to have some emergency supplies, although it is possible to take things a bit too far. And make sure that the kerosene is stored safely – There would be a certain irony in being blown up by your emergency fuel reserve.

Mary asks…
Trapped alone on an island with food & water supplies but no survival skills, how long would you likely live?

Answer Man answers:
Well, if there is lots of bugs and gross things probably not very long. I suppose I could do it, depending on what food and water was available.
I will admit, I prefer to be pampered and not one for camping. So, boiling water would make me sick to know what was in there, I would never kill an animal to eat there would have to be fruit, and I hate bugs.
So, based on that, I would say that given the right situation, I could go at least………… An hour! No, I think I could make it a few days, maybe!

Mandy asks…
Is the FDA tampering with survival of the human race with its approval of Viral additives in our food supply?
The FDA has approved a viral cocktail to be sprayed on our foods. Viruses have been approved for use as food additives and a host of virally contaminated foods will be entering our food supply. Live viruses will be sprayed on cold cuts, sausages, hot dogs, sliced turkey, and chicken.
Greedy corporations plan to use one infectious organism to fight another. Bacteria will ingest the bacteriophages resulting in massive viral replication inside the bacteria, until it bursts. This virus and the bacteria’s defensively produced endotoxins will end up in your digestive tract where it may infect normal bacterial cells needed there.
At issue is FDA-approved multi-national fast-food animal farms full of diseased and sickly animals that now require more than the heavy use of antibiotics during growth and radiation during food processing. Our immune system are highly reactive and sensitive to bacterial endotoxins.
How do you like the idea of buying virus-infested food for your family?

Answer Man answers:
Its been going on for decades as farmers used the most deadly toxins as we all grew up for crops and what was in animal feed. It only goes through the fda when a company wants to make alot of money. Its all the preservatives in foods that is killing us.

Lizzie asks…
how much food and water minimum do a grown chihuahua and bassett hound need daily?
im starting a survival supplies cache, and i was wondering about food/water for my pets. is it by weight?

Answer Man answers:
Survival supplies? – WHAT DO YOU KNOW THAT I DON’T !!!
I guess your best yardstick would be by weight, but if I went by the weight chart on most food bags, my Bassets would explode!!
Water – I really don’t know because I confess to changing water bowls very often (as Bassets are so slobbery!!). I like mine to have a fresh water supply at all times. If it’s down to bottled water, I’d have a hard time (or my hounds would).

Robert asks…
Where is the best place to buy wholesale food?
Where can I get the best value on bulk foods? Specifically as a “survival” food. I’m talking a year supply for one adult or more between 500 to 4000$. The way the economy is going, I wouldn’t be surprised if the dollar completely collapses
. Better safe than sorry as we enter into this depression.

Answer Man answers:
I have a year supply of food..no kidding..the way the economy is doing we are going to end up eating the cat or so.
I bought all my food in a place located in utah www.beprepared.com they have everything you need to food storage, I thing the mormons have a culture of food storage and they have everything set up for this..dry milk, whole grains, already prepared food and water supply…their prices are the best because everything they sale is oriented to last for years in storage. Costco is good, Sams, etc…the thing with them is to check out the due dates of the products .
Just google..food storage…emergy essentials and you will get a good list of resources..emergency essentials base in utah Salt Lake City Utah is the one that I has been using to buy grains..milk..and this products could last for 10-40 years. Hope this help
